When you call in to book an appointment, our team will ask you details about your condition and will take you through what you need to know, including how long your appointment is expected to take. Keep in mind that this is an estimate, and the exact duration will depend on your specific issue. It’s always ideal to allow for a little extra time at your appointment to be on the safe side.
At YND our pricing structure is as affordable as possible because we believe that everyone should have access to good quality dental care without feeling the pressure of price. Procedures such as restorations (fillings) will vary in price depending on the material, location and specific requirements. During a consultation, we will assess the situation and offer budget options to meet your particular needs.
Radiographs (X-rays images) and routine examinations.
When it comes to a routine preventive care appointment (Check-up) we may NOT always recommend that an x-ray image is required. We will do our best to estimate your individual risk for dental disease such as dental decay and gum (periodontal) disease. If you show a low risk history, we are likely to recommend fewer x-ray images.
Losing a tooth can be extremely traumatic, especially if it’s been knocked out by blunt force. Your first step is to stay calm. Control any bleeding by applying gauze to the area. If you’ve been hit, make sure you get medical help in case of a concussion or loss of consciousness. Applying an ice pack to the area can help reduce swelling. If the knock has only resulted in tooth loss, save the tooth and visit us at Your New Dentist as soon as possible.
If your teeth are damaged or if they crack or break and in need of restoration – there are many different solutions, you can consider to help treat the problem. For instance, dental implants, bridges and dentures may be viable options for lost teeth. If you need to re-build your tooth, then inlays or crowns might be ideal. If you’re looking to make cosmetic changes to your appearance, veneers and tooth whitening are common considerations. During your consultation with us, we will assess your dental condition and work closely with you to establish the best treatment solution for your needs.
If you have had a visit where root canal therapy has been carried out – the first 48 hours after you may experience some mild discomfort. This is a normal part of the treatment process and in most cases and it will resolve naturally. In some instances, if there is an active infection or swelling, then antibiotics may be required. Antibiotics are only used as a supportive treatment. We are responsible for ensuring that they are used appropriately without being misused.
